Sam Gilman
Co-Founder and President

Sam Gilman is Co-CEO at the Community Economic Defense Project. Gilman designed and manages CEDP’s emergency rental assistance and eviction diversion program, which has been cited by the White House, HUD, and news media as a national best practice model. He collaborates on storytelling and manages finance and programmatic teams. Prior to working at CEDP, Gilman was an early strategy hire at Guild Education, which helps working adults go back to school. He has also worked with CareerWise Colorado, as a management consultant, and in grassroots organizing. Gilman is a lawyer and holds a JD/MPP from Harvard Law School / Harvard Kennedy School. He also loves to run, cook, and play volleyball and spikeball too competitively for his athletic ability.
